Accessibility statement

This site targets WCAG 2.2 level AA. Semantic structure, keyboard operability, visible focus, reduced-motion support and AA colour contrast in both themes are implemented. Known limitations are listed below rather than omitted.

This is a plain-language policy describing how ZR Tech actually operates. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable. If anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it rather than pointing at a clause.

The standard we target

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. That standard is the common reference point internationally and is what most procurement processes ask for.

Accessibility is treated as part of a competent build rather than as an extra. It is included in every project ZR Tech delivers at no additional charge, because a version of the work without it should not be for sale.

What has been done

Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, one main region per page, and a heading hierarchy with no skipped levels.

A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.

Full keyboard operability: the mega menu, mobile drawer, accordions, theme toggle and forms are all reachable, operable and escapable without a mouse, with focus trapped inside the mobile drawer while it is open.

Visible high-contrast focus indicators throughout. Focus outlines are never removed without a replacement.

Colour contrast meeting AA in both the dark and light themes: at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.

Motion limited to transform and opacity, and disabled entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion.

Form labels programmatically associated with their fields, errors announced through live regions, and touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.

Text remains readable and functional when zoomed to 200 per cent.

Known limitations

Wide comparison tables scroll horizontally on small screens. A shadow indicates that more content exists to the side, and the region is keyboard focusable so it can be scrolled without a mouse, but a table that does not fit remains harder to read on a phone than on a desktop.

Some illustrations convey their meaning through layout rather than text. Each carries a descriptive title, and no essential information is presented only in an image.

This statement covers pages built by ZR Tech. Any third-party embed added later, such as a map or a booking widget, is outside our direct control, and we would assess it before adding it.

How it is tested

Automated checks with browser accessibility tooling, plus manual keyboard-only navigation of every interactive component, and contrast verification of every text and background pair in both themes.

Automated tools catch perhaps a third of real accessibility problems, so the manual pass is the part that matters. Neither substitutes for testing with actual assistive technology users, which we would arrange for a project where that is warranted.
